a well curated home
As a designer, I often encounter editorial features and even prospective clients who are looking for a very pristine look. Or shall I deem it matchy matchy in my mind. The trick to design is finding a way to bring cohesion to a space while maintaining a strong story that marries well to the homeowners. I often find that this comes in the way or curating vignettes and simple treasures around the home that have sentiment and a connection to those living in the space. What it does not mean is lots of tinkery items laying around. In fact, the complete opposite. Fewer items, better quality and a space that just feels comfortable is often the ones we find to be the most beautiful. I particularly loved this space for all the above reasons. There is nothing lavish or cookie cuter about this space just a simple approach to beautiful design.
